ESG objectives

Our five objectives

1. Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions Reduction:

Objective: Significantly reduce the company's carbon footprint across its entire value chain.

2. Sustainable Resource Management & Environmental Impact Mitigation:

Objective: Minimize the environmental impact associated with feedstock sourcing, fuel production, and distribution beyond just GHG emissions.
Target: Set targets for reducing water consumption, waste generation, and air/water pollution per unit of fuel produced. Ensure land reclamation and ecosystem health are considered.

3. Workforce Health, Safety, and Well-being:

Objective: Prioritize the safety and health of employees and contractors throughout all operations.
Target: Aim for zero workplace fatalities and a year-over-year reduction in recordable incident rates through robust safety protocols, comprehensive training, and fostering a strong safety culture. Promote employee well-being initiatives.

4. Ethical Supply Chain Management and Community Engagement:

Objective: Ensure ethical practices throughout the supply chain and maintain positive relationships with local communities.
Target: Implement policies ensuring fair labor practices, human rights respect, and non-discrimination within the company and its supply chain. Engage proactively with local communities and Indigenous groups to address concerns, share benefits, and support local development initiatives. Publish reports detailing supply chain labor practices, potentially adhering to acts concerning forced labor.

5. Transparent Governance and Regulatory Compliance:

Objective: Uphold high standards of corporate governance, transparency, and ethical conduct while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Target: Ensure board independence and relevant expertise (e.g., in climate, cleantech). Adhere to all environmental regulations and clean fuel standards. Implement robust risk management and anti-corruption practices.
